snap roll

A fully stalled maneuver done at cruise speed. From level flight, the pilot applies full up elevator, full rudder and aileron in the same direction. The aircraft will VERY RAPIDLY rotate around its center of gravity and then fall into a spin. A snap roll is the part before the spin entry. For recovery, release the controls while the aircraft is still in level flight.

An aerobatic maneuver using fast and full elevator input to stall the airplane while full rudder and aileron controls are inputted in the same direction. The stalled airplane quickly rotates around its center of gravity. The plane will enter a spin if these control inputs are maintained. Using up elevator results in an inside snap roll. Down elevator produces an outside snap roll.
